Living on the west coast (SF Bay Area) and in America, "frontier" here does carry connotations for me of the American west (re American history) - and Harbin Hot Springs, my ethnographic field site in my recent book - has many echoes of the American west, having been "ranch land," as I see it, until just a few decades ago (say the 1950s) - "frontier" has many further broader meanings ... (the latter two examples here being what I have in mind ...)

frontier |ˌfrənˈti(ə)rnouna line or border separating two countries.• the district near a border separating two countries.• the extreme limit of settled land beyond which lies wilderness, especially referring to the western US before Pacific settlement: his novel of the American frontier.• the extreme limit of understanding or achievement in a particular area: the success of science in extending the frontiers of knowledge.

How to build love and care into a Realistic Virtual Earth (far beyond love and care as an ethic), and into the AI (artificial intelligence), and not only "Do no evil" (from Google) - as well as great intelligence, excellence and skill in coding - and in all 7,097 known living languages?

Greetings from Stanford as I write my blog post for today ...

How would building love and care into a real virtual Stanford engaging its already pretty great (and real) ethos or discourse, and in 2017, long after the very interesting 1960s (when it was likely pretty far "out there") ...

From the old Student Union at Stanford, I just searched on my mobile phone for 658 Lomita Court, Stanford - Jerry house (Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead) - and it's about a 10 minute walk away.

Found these too -

B, A, S, K,

learning, learning, learning here ... found a swot means "a person who studies hard, especially one regarded as spending too much time studying."

World University and Schools is seeking to become MIT OCW-centric swotty univerities (in 200 countries' main and official languages) and schools (in 7097 living languages)

Well, somewhat swotty ... but also in a Grateful Dead way ... so Stanford perchance ... not sure what this all will come to mean in many languages and online, but "there you are" as some in Britain have
been wont to say

Here's to many swotty unis ... while multi-lingually rocking out to the GD :)

How will nation states / all 206 sovereign states (see list at bottom of this recent blog post - http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2017/02/sherwood-forest-benefitting-incentive.html) emerge in a Realistic Virtual Earth (and Universe+) with one ground work for this already having been laid with Google Streetview / Maps / Earth with TIME SLIDER and with avatars and group build-ability (like realistic OpenSimulator / SL) and wiki - for ethno-wiki-virtual-world-graphy?

Have you added your Harbin road photos to Google Streetview yet, say from the Gatehouse to Middletown?
