Hi Min (and Nelson and Dean),
Great to talk with you yesterday (Fr., Oct. 6) at dinner after hearing the UC Berkeley talk by Xiangchun - http://campaign.r20. constantcontact.com/render?m= 1103050552852&ca=874e9d70- 76f6-4245-8fb4-ab39712c7d2d.
Here is where Korea World University and School in the Korean language will emerge - https://wiki.worlduniversityan dschool.org/wiki/Nation_States - and here's Korea World University and School in English -https://wiki. worlduniversityandschool.org/ wiki/Korea,_Republic_of_( South_Korea). Here too are CC MIT OCW's translated courses in the Korean language MIT OpenCourseWare - https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/tr anslated-courses/ (and traditional Chinese).
I wasn't familiar with Yu Sen (sp?), the UC Berkeley Anthro faculty member, I think, teaching the course you're in (242). Is this he - http://anthropology.berkeley. edu/people/xin-liu? I wonder, even, if you might you collaborate with him, Min, in developing Korean WUaS with him developing China WUaS in Mandarin, at some point in the future, with a focus on developing matriculating undergraduate classes online?
(Nelson, would you like to co-teach a course through a UC Berkeley/WUaS collaboration beginning in January on "Tourism and Actual/Virtual Harbin Hot Springs," with field trips to Harbin when it opens, since you've never visited it - and even in a UC Berkeley van, for example? There's precedent for this with a UC Davis Experimental College course called "Hydro Thermo Dynamics" to Harbin around 1971 even, where a person I met at a Quaker gathering some years ago used to be the teacher of this course - see ... https://scott-macleod. blogspot.com/2010/10/witch- hazel-met-someone-today-who- had.html . Dean, do you know of any sources about the UC Davis Experimental College or related trips to Harbin from there, since the "Brief History of the Experimental College" link seems to no longer work. Here too is a beginning syllabus for a course I'm tentatively entitling "Tourism and Actual/Virtual Harbin Hot Springs: ethno-wiki-virtual-world- graphy" - http://scott-macleod.blogspot. com/2017/06/endemism-reed- college-course-with-scott.html - and here is another blog post with Chapter Titles, Summaries and Table of Contents, for MacLeod’s Naked Harbin Ethnography and Boellstorff’s Coming of Age in SL - http://scott-macleod.blogspot. com/2017/06/bipedalism-naked- harbin-ethnography.html - which I would propose reading side by side for this course. This could also be a far-reaching opportunity for UC Berkeley Anthropology and Tourism Studies to grow in the direction of virtual medical anthropology).
If such a Tourism and Actual/Virtual Harbin Hot Springs: ethno-wiki-virtual-world- graphy"course were possible, Min - and eventually also online in a realistic virtual earth/Harbin in Korean and Chinese - might you be available to be the graduate student instructor?
Best, Scott

Hi Min, Nelson and Dean,
Just blogged a bit about some of these ideas - http://scott-macleod. blogspot.com/2017/10/paektu- mountain-uc-berkeley-tswg- talk.html - and in terms of thinking of traveling to hot springs for healing, re medical anthropology too.
