I hope people will create these (and in the all-instruments in all-languages' music school - http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/World_University_Music_School - which is not yet moved into the new wiki!)

Thanks for your email and the information about the Coursera platform, Tanya. I've tried both one (Stanford) Coursera and one edX / HarvardX courses (one called JuryX by Harvard Law Prof Emeritus Charles Nesson - https://www.edx.org/course/juryx-deliberations-social-change-harvardx-hls3x-0 - who may have been very instrumental in the Cannabis legalization process and successes) to completion. Search on Board Meeting here - http://scottmacleod.com/papers.htm - and you'll see a part of the 2012 Advanced Startup Boards' Coursera course (which doesn't seem publicly archived) I took in the Google Hangout. 

Good to hear about what makes this course enjoyable and relevant for you, platform-wise. 

With World University and School's MIT OCW-centricity, I'm particularly interested about learner experience with these - https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/mitx-related-courseware/ - and how MIT OCW translates into edX. Wondering if there's a MIT OCW>MITX re your free WUaS Business degree we could experiment with after you complete, AND WITH WUaS seeking to get the P/F record from MITx at its conclusion.  

Sounds like you are still heading for a Business major at World University and School, and by next taking the MIT OCW course in the WUaS catalog - BUS 201 Technology Based Business Transformation. How's this going? (Larry, are you going to be her academic advisor for this "independent study" again ... or? ) Any courses interest you here https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/mitx-related-courseware/ which we could explore substituting for your current planned remaining courses toward you BA?

I think my taking a HTML5 / CSS / Javascript course from Coursera or edX could have relevance  (but World University and School's all ~200 countries' languages' web sites' coding and all 7,099 living languages web coding would be way beyond this ... and especially with planning for the blockchain ledger and for health care data in the WUaS Medical Schools with online teaching hospitals), and my plate is also otherwise very full, and I'm still waiting to hear back at the MIT Media Lab faculty position for this autumn, which will call for preparation as well. On too with writing a few further books here. 

What are you thoughts about independent study courses vs. courses taken via a educational platform?

Thinking very broadly and in terms of your WUaS Business BA degree, here are some interesting and timely questions re blockchain ledger and WUaS on both wings. 
I found this blockchain ledger video one of the clearest I've seen so far - https://twitter.com/ValaAfshar/status/952276983307698176- and it uses a real estate ledger over a century as an example . 

And here's an accessible Quickbooks and blockchain example of current developments ... in Canada:

... and, conceptually, since Quickbooks is anticipating the blockchain ledger (for finance), and in it's in many countries /  languages ... WUaS could build around this in a variety of ways ... 




And while I shared this edX course on blockchain with you before, Tanya - https://www.edx.org/course/blockchain-business-introduction-linuxfoundationx-lfs171x - it's from teh LinuxFoundationX, and while timely, possibly not germane to "brainstorming" / planning / thinking through how you might engage these ideas toward your degree, and how the block chain might emerge at WUaS ... hypothetically if you were a kind of project manager of this, for example. 

I'm curious how WUaS could build in the blockchain ledger for health care into our online teaching hospitals with, for example, planned Stanford Medicine tele-robotic-surgery data (conceptually non-financial) in 200 countries' languages, and with, at the same time, say, clinical trials of specific pharmaceuticals, and genetic therapies, in some of all ~7099 living languages (not to mention, re diversity of the block chain ledger, housing contracts in GDocs in the Malayalam language in the state of Karnataka in India, for example ... all on World University and School's nonprofit side.

How to begin to think about the replicating aspects of blockchain technologies in all their "octopus" (e.g. 10s of thousands of spreadsheets over tens of thousands of computer networks) ramifications, and re your upcoming business OCW (OpenCourseWare) ... possibly partly beginning with Quickbooks as a pragmatic starting place?  World University and School as a nonprofit already has Quickbooks for finance, while these Canadian QuickBooks' blockchain innovations may not be available yet in the States or on any QBs but may come to be. (And Quickbooks is in at least 150 countries, and WUaS conceptually planning for all ~200 nation states is very TurboTax centric, which is big in both at the least the USA and Canada, and develops as these two countries' tax codes develop).

How could the blockchain be helpful, in a similar vein, with algae to biofuel production and scaling this?  

... Some potentially  interesting questions for a Business major at MIT OCW-centric World University and School.

Hi Tanya and Larry,

As a followup and FYI, TurboTax and Quickbooks (in more than 150 countries, and presumably many languages),  and Intuit's Multi-store are all made by Intuit, so are richly interoperable - and would keep up with nation states' tax codes.

WUaS is seeking to plan for an Universal Basic Income (and with block chain), and for all 7.5 billion learners / people, conceptually ... and this could, conceptually, be distributed through Quickbooks and be taxable too, making it attractive to all ~200 nation states to facilitate (and also potentially pay for) ... if automation puts massive numbers of jobs in jeopardy into the future.

Could you see yourself applying to and heading for a MIT Ph.D. in the future?
