Hi M,

It's smokey here today, for the second day in a row, for some reason ... may be returning to California summer fire season ...  a big smoke out somehow (as cannabis reference:) ... or perhaps the Forest Service/similar is burning off a lot of fire danger at the peak of the dry season (after ~10 months of no rain) before a wildfire gets out of control, - not great for breathing in ...

I wonder how climatologists could add this smoke into a realistic virtual earth for climate change and atmosphere (EAPS - Earth, Atmosphere, Planetary Science - https://eapsweb.mit.edu/ ... https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/earth-atmospheric-and-planetary-sciences/ ) ... and related unfolding analyses ... would be great to get MIT's EAPS in on developing and coding a realistic virtual earth ... (Think Google Street View / Earth / TensorFlow ... so with machine learning)

House cleaning moment now ... and then to check out my new sofa bed ... then to Stanford to hear some talks, network and to get out of the smoke ...

WUaS business meeting tomorrow - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2018/11/mokelumne-river-agenda-news-world-univ.html ... want to join it? :)

Continuing to seek a position at Stanford ...

What are you up to today, and this weekend? How was your week and how are you?

L, S

Afternoon
Hi Ma,

Smokey at Stanford too ... big couple of burns in the SF Bay Area, I'd guess ...

front room's floor is clean :) ... so I'll unpack my sofa bed this evening probably :) ... nice to have a clean front room ...

Am interested in advancing a house-cleaning robot (out of something like Toyota research, for ex.) for everything (like filing papers, etc. and cleaning high places ... like outside 2nd story windows) ... including equality questions especially ... (but concerned that robotics will put a lot of people out of work as well ... one of the main arguments for planning for an Universal Basic Income ... ) Ethics can get quite convoluted as information technologies develop  ... :)

Love, Scott
