Previous: Oreostemma alpigenum: Why is (or can be) Yoga so mind-expanding, do you think, - & re questions of consciousness (Harvard psychology/philosophy wise - what is consciousness, and how does it work? - but also conceptually India-wise)? ... where consciousness as awareness isn't, for example, reconcilable re the first (e.g. subjective experience - what you say, feel, and remember) and third person perspectives (e.g. what scientists neurologists, study, measure and model) ... and could we begin to explore these questions of how consciousness works anew in a realistic virtual earth for brain science ... am thinking Google Streetview with time slider with Tom Dean's brain modeling and at the atomic and cellular levels with an algorithm of quantum computing approach ... and by building out / making ... Thanks so so much Patti (- https://twitter.com/TheOpenBand/status/1103070373224996864 -) ... and I appreciate mindfulness, clarity, and intentionality, and re thinking -

possibly not always 'content' in active body minds? ... Appreciating too positive 'transference' on parents ... am a learner ... transference is a psychoanalytic word / psychology word (and not a Yoga word so much) ... studying psychology at Harvard ... Does 'transference' relate to 'imprinting' of animal behaviorists, I wonder (and who has studied this?) (Am curious how we could explore studying 'transference' and 'imprinting' in a realistic virtual earth).

... 'duckies' imprinting-wise even (a family in barn yard scene? - https://tunearch.org/wiki/Annotation:Deuks_Dang_o%27er_My_Daddie_(The) )? (and re Konrad Lorenz, and Nico Tinbergen and the Scottish tune of that name we played) :)

... (Am glad new Reed College friend in common Olivia Rose Maki wrote me) ... could also suggest an approach to listening to the music (but re inhaling, metaphorically) ... & even re X ... I appreciate too 'Harvard thinking,' - thinking a lot - which I see in the language / writing personal web sites online, for one ...

Interesting blog post re consciousness emerged out of connecting as well - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2019/03/oreostemma-alpigenum-why-is-or-can-be.html ... &

You both are pretty 'content' I'd say, Barbara and Patti, ... and which is a Yoga word (a 'niyama' ) ... and which is relevant for Yoga / India thinking about consciousness too I think. ... now re the Web?

...

Seeking and finding a partner in these big cities re ... Yoga and meditation are a remarkable boon!

Brìghde Chaimbeul’s Scottish small piping music and her Isle of Skye roots, - feels like it would be interesting to somehow meet (virtually perchance) on the Isle of Harris/Lewis or on St. Kilda in the outer Hebrides, if she sailed across the Norwegian sea, and I was living in Stornoway on Lewis - ( https://www.firstclasssailing.com/sail-across-the-norwegian-sea-from-norway-to-the-faroe-islands-on-a-luxury-55ft-yacht :) ... Norse? ... and there's a lot of Norse in Scotland as well!

But am circulating elsewhere - online as well - as I continue to seek a friend / girl friend / partner / wife / mom-to-be ...:)

Happy travels to Oregon music making!

Warm musical regards, Scott

Contentment here too in these Yoga Anjali Hippy Notations ... http://www.scottmacleod.com/yoganotations.html :)

But I'm not from any of these western isles of Ecosse, these northern Celtic-knot separate worlds surrounded from by vast ocean, am from Cuttyhunk Island, MA, south of that city of Lexington of American revolution fame, where I went first after I was born (since my parents were living there in '60 - I was actually born in Cambridge MA, the same city as Harvard!). And Leod probably has some Scandinavian origins as well.

Happy music-making! :)
