Reed Prof. Nathalia King's Introduction to Hum 110 Mexico City Module on Saturday, June 8th at Reunions

Dear Nathalia (Prof. at Reed College),

Thanks so much for your excellent Reed talk on Saturday, June 8th at Reunions - "Prof. Nathalia King's Introduction to Hum 110 Mexico City Module: "We Walked a Long Time to Get Here; We Have Been Here Forever"" June 8 2019 - 
Am curious what the culture of the writers of these remarkable Aztec documents was ...   as I asked about in passing at the close of your talk. Was this religio-scribal? What would you posit, and how and why? (Am an anthropologist / sociologist now, and was a religion major at Reed, well before the new developments in Reed's Hum 110). Am curious too how we might explore the questions of multimedia (re performance) you raised / alluded to 
... and even newly in a realistic virtual earth for humanities' and social science research (but more about this later perhaps in future communication). Am curious too about Reed's Hum 110, and even how it might find its way online into Google group video Hangouts / Zoom video conferencing - to explore the Conference Method in new ways - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Conference_Method_of_Teaching_and_Learning - and also at CC-4 MIT OpenCourseWare-centric World University and School (of which I'm the founder, head, and a professor at) in all ~200 countries' official and main languages, - and in very inspiring ways. This could be a way to increase attendance even in upper level Hum 110 courses (eg on China), and for even Reed to get reimbursement from countries' governments for their online matriculated students re WUaS (since CC-4 licensing means that WUaS can't ask for tuition from students, but WUaS can seek reimbursement from governments).  

I've been emailing a little with Candace Lieber above, whom I was sitting beside, and we both very much were so inspired by your Hum 110 talk (she to 'tears' she wrote). Have posted my emails to her below for your perusal if interested.

Thanks for your nice email.

Running on empty for years writing 3 books & teaching this course - http://worlduniversityandschool.org/InfoTechNetworkSocGlobalUniv.html - at World Univ & Sch and in other universities off and on, while developing World Univ & Sch (see too these 14 planned WUaS revenue streams ... - https://worlduniversityandschool.blogspot.com/2016/01/14-planned-wuas-revenue-streams.html - none of which have yet been realized, - and as you may have noticed here - https://worlduniversityandschool.blogspot.com/2019/06/agenda-news-for-open-wuas-monthly.html - especially with regards to the NSF grant for $250,000 which we recently learned WUaS didn't get, and we don't have a track record; can you think of any grants to apply for, to have a successful first grant, and thus start a track record?) ... and kind of following a leading to develop and grow World University and School, planning free to students' CC-4 MIT OCW-centric online degrees (because of MIT OCW's CC-4 licensing) in 200 countries - Bachelor, PhD. Law MD and IB high school - as well as wiki schools for open teaching and learning in each of all 7,111 known living languages. (MIT OCW is both a gold mine and mother lode in the language of our necks of the dry west (and reaching all over the world) - and how best to 'mine' this flourishingly and  brilliantly re matriculating students in many languages (as WUaS begins to license with the state of CA's BPPE, but doesn't have the $5,000 to pay the initial fee)? WUaS will help so many people, and is fascinating to develop ... So studying for a PhD could be an opportunity for you at World Univ & Sch, Candace, and which also could be Stanford ethos-informed, in addition to MIT-ethos and OCW informed. What's your dream structure for a PhD, either existing university informed that you can point to  (beyond extending Reed's ethos online) or that you can either envision? But I am running very seriously on empty financially (for years now, and am seeking also to begin a family). Glad your daughter has found her people in kids' opera, Candace, and that you're thinking about moving to Denver too.

How to make all of WUaS as inspiring as N. Kings' talk I wonder, let alone all of Hum 110 in many languages? Would you like to join the WUaS monthly business meeting this Saturday 6/22 at 9am for an hour in a Google group video Hangout? WUaS is working on developing a great online set of libraries in many languages (see News and Agenda above) ... and emerging from Wikidata / Wikibase structured knowledge database in Wikipedia's 300 languages. Hoping to create in a far-reaching way an amazing community of like-minded and smart (high achieving - am thinking MIT and Stanford students) as well, online. World Univ & Sch is very web-centric and seeks to build community online anew.

WUaS also seeks to create an enormous number of academic and staff careers in 200 countries and 7k languages with time (2.2 million with parallels to Walmart, re both of our wings, the other of which includes online/on-the-ground bookstores / computer stores / robotics' stores / hospital technology +++ ... see the 14 planned revenue streams above). Your management experience/thinking would invaluable in these regards too (and could eventually be remunerative), and especially creative and fascinating work.

Likin' your writin' and followed 2 out of the 3 instagrams you shared from https://www.instagram.com/worlduniversityandschool/?hl=en (which is WUaS law school focused, and fairly inactive).

Glad you're well, and even kinda flourishing ... consciousness to come in email to Nathalia K. at Reed et al. ... appreciating too your consciousness in multi-modalities. (Google would be a good platform to build out of re philosophy of mind consciousness research, underground, as well as re languages especially - and even per brain research from the Harbin Hot Springs' warm pool with a HUMM head band with sensors developing to study neural processes, happiness and bliss especially, and then transmitting wirelessly into a realistic virtual earth with species and individuals - am thinking Google Streetview with TIME SLIDER / Maps / Earth / TensorFlow / Translate ... with Second Life for avatar bots, but realistic ones, not cartoon-esque). 

What's an academic reference or two for "the ethnographic study of the Saline Valley Hot Springs" you mention? I think he might ... but am waiting and watching, since he's busy (as former President of Stanford for 16 years, and current chair of Alphabet, and a professor as well), and remarkable; John may be helping in the back ground in these regards already re mentoring re the Stanford Law Silicon Valley Directors' Exchange and the WUaS Corp / Press. (Am appreciative of Larry Viehland and to a lesser degree Victor Van Kooten in these regards. Larry's a good listener and smart and chair of the WUaS Board, and, as one of the most active participants in the open WUaS Monthly Business Meeting (in the manner of Friends) we're successfully developing World Univ & Sch baby step after baby step). Victor has much insight Yogically, Dutch-wise, artistically, but also lives far away, although I'd like to be taking more Yoga courses with A & V, (as well as even potentially teaching Yoga a bit, and perhaps newly online ... and possibly re http://www.scottmacleod.com/yoganotations.html ). Careers of mine - professor / president of World University and School, anthropologist/sociologist, poet (re 2 recent books), Yoga instructor, bagpiper (Scottish small pipes). How would you describe your careers, Candace, besides being a great Mom? :)
