Who is involved in intentional communities these days? What other new intentional communities do you know of? Any emerging from Reed thinking, Friends' thinking, Stanford thinking, Wesleyan thinking?

HOPE and thinking

New thread ~ :)

Am remembering George Alexander MD's thinking about hope, that it's in becoming more sophisticated (thoughtful or thinking about the real' - could be my interpretation) in which HOPE lies (and not in any religious language or figure eg Jesus or Mohammed etc, which question he may have thought about in relation to his analysands) ... and your voice also sounded somehow sophisticated last night (appreciating Martha Briscoe and Quakers' focus on simplicity here too, on the other hand).

Hope?

Hope for funding for WUaS? (Glad and a little surprised too to see the money returned to Credit card statement from airline and for gloves - and I'd like to say thanks to you for this too somehow).

And could I be hopeful for funding for WUaS Monthly Business Meeting thanks somehow to visiting with Karen Leighty and Tym Lenderking in DC - after nearly 15 years of no money, and as a consequence of writing Alexandra Medina-Borja an ideas''one-pager' even on Friday? Will wait and see?

Could I also be hopeful of getting a house in Canyon thanks to sensible (abolition movement) thinking of the state of California and health organizations (like Kaiser Permanente) and medical doctors, after living in its "negative vortex's" for some 13 years, due to mentally ill former landlord and Canyon's inferred depraved aspects too, which I think and hope can change - which 'negative vortex'

words Sunheart used about Harbin Hot Springs too? (Was glad to have talked with family friend George Alexander MD a fair amount while living in Canyon in some of these regards somehow too).

And when could I be hopeful about returning to Harbin and for field work (safely - and even with a genetic engineering therapy to reverse my right ear 'eustachian tube dysfunction' re possibly soaking in its warm pool waters)?

And could I possibly be hopeful of meeting a friend like the attractive woman I saw in the Politics and Prose Bookstore in DC with Tym over Xmas - if good - connecting with her, and beginning a family? (Could she wishful thinking wise have gone to Princeton Univ possibly)? Could she even move out here?

AS I was playing the Piobaireachd "Beloved Scotland: I Leave Thee Gloomy" last night (it's Misty in Scotland often!), with moments of pessimistic feelings, but also enjoyably, I thought later - hopefully - of Ma and Marsalis's #11 "Be optimistic" - http://scottmacleod.com/GuidelinesPracticingMusicalInstrument.htm - and which generated some hope for me :)

Lots of 'LACK OF HOPE' issues above (and over the last years of not seeming to gain traction funding wise with WUaS, for example), but perhaps thanks to YOU too especially - and to thinking too, and agency, all of the above hopelessnesses could become reasons for hope :)

If we can, machine learning wise, learn how to predict longevity at the cellular level beyond 122 years of age for humans genetically - and even engineer reversing aging - could this be reason for great hope too?
