Gaillardia pulchella: Happy Mother's day to you!
Ma,
Happy Mother's day to you!
Appreciating you so much, and wish you a great Mother's Day!
Again, - with many Mother's Days ahead:
2030 for aging reversal genetic drug therapies emerging...? FDA APPROVED potentially... What will we see before then, Ma? And in W-M's pharmacies and similar even? Will some aging reversal genetic drug therapies emerge as vitamins - for aging eye health first? - also be available simply on the shelf without a prescription needed?
Happy Mother's day!
What are you up to today?
Thank you for your wonderfulness!
Love, Scott

Thanks for the Mother’s Day wishes. And the day is perfect and sunny and slightly warm in honor of the occasion. Peg Parker is driving across the state today to begin a three day visit. Glad the weather is cooperating.

Ma,
What a great Mother's Days celebration for you and Peg! HAVE fun today and hi to Peg! Hoping you have some great walks and Pittsburgh exploring.

Piping Topical was pretty good
... As you may have read ... Got the time difference off ... And Stuart's email arrived only 8 minutes before Topical began, with login information, so I attended about 45 minutes of it since it was 1.25 hours long ....
Greetings from Rodeo Lagoon in Marin county in the Bay Area Golden Gate Bridge Park just north of SF ... No surfers like 4 weeks ago on a sunny day with strong winds ... Beautiful day for a walk to an amazing round circle promontory with a labyrinth stone circle which I could barely walk through due to the winds. Dramatic views north of Pacific and dark cliffs, and south too with SF invisible since a bit inland of the coastline
, Scott
And happy Mother's day to you:)

Thank you for your order. You can view and print your order here

**Product Information**
*Topical Lessons by Zoom* - The next topical lesson will be held on Sunday, March 20th, 2022 @ 19.00 hrs GMT. The topic to be discussed will be :- How to approach and play a 2/4 march.
*
Hi Stuart,
I hope this email finds you well. How are you? I just joined your Topical on 2/4 Marches for GHB tomorrow and hope it's not too late - and that I didn't miss too many opportunities to play in advance (if you shared sheet music early) for learning purposes. See you soon, I hope, and thanks.
Best wishes, Scott
PS
Brainstorming-wise, and
regarding World Univ & Sch, bagpiping, innovation, and Scottish Small Piping too, I'm finding this new Toyota chair for interacting with its Humanoid Robot the T-HR3 fascinating - https://global.toyota/en/newsroom/corporate/30609642.html. I think this chair and its setup will facilitate coding these Humanoid Robots with everything a person can do, including playing music, Scottish Small Pipes, piano, other instruments, and eventually - from robot > human later - including perhaps 'teaching' people musicians in new ways, and pipers with the gloves, - so in a conversation with the machine learning Humanoid Robot.
I see these potentials re coding >
1
person to > robot - ie person in chair coding robot via person's behavior (ie shaking hand image)
2
all kinds of diagnostics and medical imaging of person in chair > into a realistic virtual earth for robotics for modeling > to further code such Humanoid Robots (including potentially human thinking with sensing and imaging technologies (eg home MRIs scanners) into artificial intelligence and machine learning) via a kind of direct link, and both ways too: Person in chair < > Robot with an ever improving interface.
3
Robot > human regarding what the robot learns with machine learning (ie piping) and which could then inform also the gloves the person is wearing teaching the human piping fingering in the chair ...
4
Adaptable chair information technologies to send home through the mail eg for WUaS students at home in a WUaS Robotics' Track, and as WUaS students learn to code robots, even in unique ways, and as part of degree programs in engineering for example (in the homes of WUaS matriculating students in all 200 countries and in their main languages at World Univ & Sch ... and also for speakers of all 7151 known living languages as well).
5
Yoga too - with the sensors on the shoes (eg in Iyengar Yoga, there's a focus in standing poses in extending out through the outer back foot ... and spreading the toes too ... and I see these possibilities in the sensing technologies shown on this web page regarding the sneakers' pictures) ... but I don't see how such chair sensing technologies (for humanoid robot codings) could get to wondrous 'inner body explorations' in very innovative, creative, & exploratory ways eg via A&V's yoga, or some of the Yoga I teach ... but this chair with Humanoid Robots for the infinite coding of humanoid robots ahead are very cool developments ...
Could we get not only to a personal robot for each of all 7.9 billion people on the planet (one estimate is that about 6 billion people on the planet have smartphones, and more than a billion people have personal automobiles 1.4 billion by one estimated) ... but could all 7.9 billion people have these chair master maneuverer technologies ... maybe in bits and pieces, as modules, and iteratively too ... as well? :)

My email to you from yesterday with much about Toyota's person < > robot chair for real time interaction and bagpipe instruments, and Piobaireachd is here, Stuart -
and as I wrote to my mother regarding this -
While I signed up for a Topical group lesson with Stuart Liddell on 2/4 Marches, I haven't heard back from him yet, and would prefer a private lesson with him and further re Piobaireachd. I'm continuing to appreciate these guidelines for practicing a musical instrument -
http://scottmacleod.com/GuidelinesPracticingMusicalInstrument.htm - which begin with -
"INSPIRATION
1 Seek out private instruction. ..."
Like last year, could I take a few further private lessons for Piobaireachd classical Scottish Bagpiping music and my upcoming album with Stuart, I wonder?
I emailed him the following yesterday below and re innovation too

from a few weeks ago -
(Made a first recording again for my upcoming first Piobaireachd classical Scottish Bagpiping music album last night. "Honey Piobaireachd,"and I'm tentatively calling the album, or possibly "Honey Bee Piobaireachd" Playing the beautiful "The Desperate Battle of the Birds" ... Good to learn from the listening to the recording in new ways!)
PS
I recorded
'The Desperate Battle of the Birds'
last night again and it was an improvement over the recording the night before... And recording is a good focus for upcoming 2nd piping album, this one of Piobaireachd. Thanks for mentioning recording the other night too!
The Desperate Battle of the Birds
was written by
Angus MacKay of Gairloch (Isle of Raasay too?) who publishes his first book of Piobaireachd (a kind of poetry?) in 1838 apparently ... when Highland Society piping competitions were happening even ...
...
Am seeking to get to a kind of 'Allman brothers' Rock and Roll 'musical space' in playing classical Scottish
Just played through "The Lament for Mary MacLeod" Piobaireachd, without any 'training wheels,' that is without listening on head phones to a great recording and playing with for learning ... developing thereby my own Piobaireachd voice ... Good to play it through as a whole ... :)
Seeking further a vision for playing Piobaireachd classical Scottish Bagpiping music beautifully
Love, Scott
Top 10 Piobaireachd classical Scottish Bagpiping music beautifully
Stuart, would you be available to teach another private lesson on Piobaireachd or regarding my upcoming album ... Or possibly also do a Topical group lesson on Piobaireachd bagpiping music from sheet music for'Beloved Scotland or a good introductory piece?
Thanks so much and see you in about an hour.

Thank you for today Scott,
In today's topical we covered a few 2/4 marches starting with the tunes that were first introduced to me in my early years with the likes of Mhairi's Wedding, Terribus, Corriechoillie. We then discussed some of the 4 parted tunes that I learned from there - Capt. Norman Orr Ewing, 79th Farewell to Gibralter. This then brought us into the heavier 2/4 tunes with the likes of John MacColl's March to Kilbowie Cottage, Abercairney Highlanders and discussing the finer points of expression. No tunes specifically worked on but interluding with a few anecdotes along the way!
Hope all well and good to see you today.
All the best,
Stuart

your Topicals are a kind of an ongoing opportunity, long-term, to attend a piping school at Borreraig on the isle of Skye somehow with you as Donald Ban MacCrimmon :) somehow and in a very old piping tradition, identity and culture-wise, of students learning from a master piper
Dear Stuart, All,
Thanks so much for the Topical bagpiping lesson today (as I prepare for creating my second bagpiping album, this one of Piobaireachd) ... I feel like your Topicals are a kind of an ongoing opportunity, long-term ('it takes 7 years to make a piper' idea, or if we are able to extend human lives beyond 122 years of age with genetic engineering revolution drugs emerging, perhaps with a new piping teaching philosophy, 'there are centuries of learning opportunities with the Scottish bagpipe' :), to attend a piping school at Borreraig on the isle of Skye somehow with you as Donald Ban MacCrimmon :) somehow and in a very old piping tradition, identity and culture-wise, of students learning from a master piper ... and now in a very new way from Australia and the USA and the British isles, and Scotland via the Internet, as it grows and develops, and with you! Thank you! Thanks too for the visit to virtual Scotland this morning, with you in Argyllshire ...

(I feel too like John MacFadyen could easily join this Wikipedia list (but I'm not editing or wiki-adding to Wikipedia these days) -

Here are the questions I asked today in the group text chat -
Stuart do you know of online competitions emerging for 24 Marches and on the Scottish Small Pipes/ (And how could World Univ & Sch’s bagpiping pages help - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Scottish_smallpipes_and_borderpipes)?
Me to Everyone (11:57 AM)
Is it possible to get access to these lessons afterward via recordings having signed up for the lesson (and since I thought this began an hour after it began, due to the time zone difference)? Thanks.
Me to Everyone (12:02 PM)
Any possibility also, Stuart, to do a Topical lesson on an introduction to Piobaireachd? With a specific Piobaireachd possibly like Beloved Scotland (a current favorite) - or what you’d suggest for learning purposes? Thanks!
Me to Everyone (12:06 PM)

Thanks also for sharing your thoughts, and about this lesson, in writing after the Topical, Stuart!
Am attending a 'Fettes Festival Pipe Band Zoom tune-in' on Tuesday, May 12, - is someone in the Inveraray and District pipe band one of the head teachers of the Fettes pipe band? It would be interesting to play with them ... on the A chanter of the Scottish small pipes, if they are playing practice chanters ...
But the possibly the bagpiping sheet music and Youtube videos seem to require a Fettes college email address, eg.
'To find out what we will be playing there is a link to the playlist with supportive youtube links for both the pipers and the drummers here '
and
"Play list with youtube tutorials for the pipers is here"
and see the PPS and PPPS below. I just reached out to Fettes College Alumni association organizers -
... with their email form in these regards ... and, brainstorming-wise, in exploring heading for real-real-time bagpiping, as people and technologists innovate with improving bandwidth, overcoming lag, and for real-real-time music making between countries :) (So glad these amazing virtual opportunities for bagpiping and learning, have made the world potentially safer, and abolition, regarding abolishing the wrongful buying and selling of people, law and law enforcement wise, and between countries too! Yay for the internet ! ... and potentially with World Univ & Sch planning to code for all 7.9 billion people on the planet, each a Wikidata Pin # - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/You_at_World_University - and regarding this potentially too and get your Stanford Mine Pi free money daily here - https://minepi.com/sgkmac - on your smartphone :)
Am curious especially, if World Univ & Sch could find some potential matriculating students for free-to-students' 4 year Bachelor's degrees (PhD too) online from home from Fettes College and the Fettes College pipe band especially (perhaps beginning with students taking this CC-4 Computer Science 'CS First with Google at World Univ & Sch' course - https://csfirst.withgoogle.com/s/en/home - this summer, if interested in matriculating on September 1, 2022 for free to students' CC-4 ocw.mit.edu -centric online degrees)?
