Friends, Lydia, Wikimedians' Unniversitians, All,
The WUaS migration journey to Wikibase.cloud is supposed to be complete by tomorrow! Incredible, and thank you! This should make it possible for WUaS to create, for example ~200 world class online universities' libraries and with Wikibase.cloud instance ... and in countries' main languages, potentially building on the astounding German National Library wikibase.cloud instance.
In WUaS Monthly Business Meeting on Saturday 5/21/22, Larry asked how someone (especially from another country) could actually read a book in the German National Library (regarding copyright, and public libraries and matriculating students), and while it looks like many books are readable online (and see what the German National Library, Deutsche Nationalbibliothek, has to say about this here -
http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2022/05/lazuli-bunting.html - and some of the searches I've done so far), how, Wikimedians, could I search for a list of all the online READABLE books from the USA - and actually read some of these books, or papers, online from home? I wasn't successful regarding these latter searches. Want to explore for yourself (and academically your own questions and per this extensive national library collection -
https://www.dnb.de/EN/Home/home_node.html ?)
Also, have added a Lego robotics' component to this FREE HEAT, (and FREE COOLING eg
https://youtu.be/2Qh14pX3IxA), solar air heater ... and a possible near product for design, manufacture, and carrying in the WUaS Educational Services' stores (re the WUaS Corp) ...
AND further, regarding 'solar energy humanoid Lego robotics" - and WUaS student learning in a #WUaS Home Robotics' track, check out this Tweet :
WUaS solar energy humanoid Lego robotics in the WUaSRoboticsTrack ?
All best, and happy wiki teaching and learning,
Scott
You'll find here too the video recording from the WUaS Monthly Business Meeting on Sat. 5.21.22 -

Hello.
Following up on the updates we sent you last week about when to expect your wiki to be migrated (i.e by May 24th), I am reaching out again to inform you that migration is currently stalled due to Elastic search being unexpectedly slow.
Based on new estimates we made the migration of wikis in your batch will continue until June 3rd although we hope to give you some good news before that.
Again, many thanks for your patience. Please reach out to
swe_partnerships@wikimedia.de if you have any additional questions or concerns.
-Mohammed

Thanks for the update, Mohammed and Linda,
And greetings from the SF Bay Area, and from CC-4
ocw.mit.edu -centric (in its 4 languages) wiki World University and School, and the Academic Press at WUaS.
Alles Gute,
Scott
PS
I've mentioned the WUaS migration journey to the Wikibase.cloud in both today's WUaS News and Q&A for May 23, 2022 -
and in WUaS Monthly Business Meeting this past Saturday, May 21, 2022 -
RECORDING of Sat 5/21/22 5/21/22 World Univ & Sch & WUaS Corp Monthly Business Meeting, and WUaS Agenda and News
By the way, as I asked World Universitians earlier today in the WUaS News and Q&A announcement for M 5/23/22, do you know, Linda, please, how I could search on and find books I could actually READ from home in German (since I read German) from the
dnb.de - and per
http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2022/05/lazuli-bunting.html ? And search on for example 'DNB' for some early searches I've just done.
In the open WUaS Monthly Business Meeting on Saturday 5/21/22, Larry Viehland (CFO, and MIT alumnus in chemistry too, and a key person at WUaS for further developments and thinking) asked how someone (especially from another country) could actually read a book online in the German National Library (eg regarding copyright, and public libraries and matriculating students, etc.), and while it looks like many books are readable online (and see what the German National Library, Deutsche Nationalbibliothek, has to say about this here again -
http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2022/05/lazuli-bunting.html - and regarding some of the searches I've done so far), How, Linda and Wikimedians, could I search, for example, for a list of all the online READABLE books from the USA - and ACTUALLY READ some of these books, or papers, online from home? I wasn't successful regarding these latter searches. Would you like to explore for yourself (and academically ask your own questions and per this extensive national library collection -
https://www.dnb.de/EN/Home/home_node.html ?)
Linda, I speak, read and write 'intermediate' German ... so such a search for 'all the books I can actually read in DNB.de from home in the USA' in this Wikibase.cloud instance of the
dnb.de isn't entirely transparent to me. Thank you. This could have relevance in the WUaS Dagbani language wikibase.cloud instance, and at Ghana World Univ & Sch in Dagbani too ... and for actually READING Dagbani language books in online world class WUaS Wikibase.cloud OPEN SOURCE, UNLOCKEd libraries (many, if not all), perhaps relating to a countries' National Library especially, from home for people.
Thank you, Linda and Mohammed, for the news and update about when the WUaS migration journey to Wkibase.cloud will be complete.
Alles Gute,
PPS
Are Wikibase.cloud instances emerging for genetics, and even specific genes ... and which could inform a realistic virtual earth for genetics and even avatar bot electronic medical records (for all 7.9 billion people on the planet, planned, and with newly genetic information, modeling and imaging, even with new #FlimTo3D Apps at the Street View, cellular and molecule levels, that you know of?).
I Tweet much to the above Twitter feeds for idea generation.
Thank you, Linda and Mohammed!
Scott
