Hi folks! Our schedule is officially up on the Paideia website: (http://www.reed.edu/paideia/). For those who cannot access it, I had included a pdf version at the bottom of this email. Most locations are given, aside from a few TBD which we're just waiting on a staff member to okay. We tried to work in all the edits you graciously helped with, but as per usual, if there are any mistakes we missed or changes that were not implemented, feel free to contact us at paideia2k15@reed.edu. In the meantime, we will be working on the budget which should be out by the end of the next week.

MIT OCW-centric wiki World University and School: How Reedies can wiki-teach here and eventually develop WUaS as interns

A Paideia course on how Reedies can teach and develop Creative Commons’ licensed WUaS, which is like Wikipedia with MIT OpenCourseWare, in wiki-subjects that they love. This course will share in a hands-on manner 1) how to curate, edit, add to and develop a WUaS wiki subject page to develop further expertise in that area, 2) how to start a new WUaS wiki subject page as a creative opportunity, 3) how to begin teaching in a Google + group video Hangout and 4) possibly in 3D interactive virtual worlds, if there’s interest and time.

Thanks. I just heard back an hour ago from Reed College and its student Paideia Czars with a schedule, and will teach there about MIT OCW-centric wiki WUaS based on the announcement below on Saturday, 1/17 and Sunday, 1/18 from 1-3pm.

"I'd like to share with Friends particularly about the free, planned undergraduate degrees at WUaS where high school F/friendly students would apply this autumn 2015 and matriculate online to accrediting WUaS in autumn 2016 (from their high school rooms most likely) taking about 40 MIT OCW-centric courses over 4 years for free and MIT degrees.
While WUaS isn't Swarthmore or Haverford or Earlham or Guildford, I'd also particularly be interested in sharing ideas is this Meeting with all of you about WUaS and Friends building on these Quaker schools experiences, as a kind of Friendly leading.

Friendly-informed WUaS (with open electronically-mediated WUaS Monthly Business Meeting in the manner of Friends) and a growing number of Quaker-centric wiki subjects/schools - http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Quakers_-_Religious_Society_of_Friends#World_University_and_School_Links - would like to reach out to as many parents of young Friends, who might want to matriculate at WUaS applying this autumn 2015 and matriculating online in autumn of 2016, as possible, and my experience with this at San Francisco Friends Meeting, where I'm a member, is that more parents of young Friends are around the Meeting House, for
whatever reason, on Sundays than on Fridays.

Is there a Quaker group rate for Friendly-informed WUaS (which is also a member of Friends Association of Higher Education) at MMM (I was an attender at MMM from 1979 to 1987) compared with a non-Quaker rate? (I haven't looked at the web site yet).
